Hi Sweeties I hate that you are having so much trouble setting your ticker up. It does seem a bit tricky at first.
I'm not a computer wiz but I do know a little. Lets see if we can help out......Once you click on someone else's ticker and it takes you to the site, click on create my own and fill in the info...it will prompted you to set up a pin so you can go back from time to time to change the settings.
If you have gotten to this point, copy the bbcode shown in the box to share on forums. Once it is on your clip board open your profile on the forum. On your profile page looking on the left hand side it will show you: Profile Info, Modify Profile, Actions. In the Modify Profile section click on Forum Profile Information. Now that you are on that page scroll down and you will see

Signature:
Signatures are displayed at the bottom of each post or personal message. BBC code and smileys may be used in your signature " and a box to paste your code in. This is where you want to paste to and like ladyluck said don't forget to click change profile to save your work
You can also add a few words or smileys under that to jazz it up if you like. Just make sure you aren't adding it within the code itself. I hope this helps and I didn't confuse anyone. If you have any questions please ask
