Wii Fit...anyone tried it?
« on: November 11, 2011, 08:48:49 AM »
Morning everyone, happy Veterens Day!

I just bought Wii Fit plus on Amazon and it's arriving today. I wondered if anyone has tried it?? I bought it for my son, we are homeschooling and he has to do PE daily. I thought it might be good for me too. I can't do regular exercise because of my foot but they say you can personalize your workout for different areas of your body. Just wondered if anyone or anyone's kids have tried it and if you have any tips??

I tried my friend's Wii and it was a workout, I'll tell you! You're going to love it!  :D

My only advice is that you attach all remotes to your body so you don't send one through the TV.

We have it.  It's awesome for beginners and kids.  I have "My Fitness Coach" (the first one) from Amazon and she'll work you out GOOD.

I have one too  ;D  It is great for me.  My body won't always allow me to exercises when I want or on a schedule.  This way I can do it when I can and how hard I can.  Eliruthy is right it is a workout  ;) ;)  I have the Wii fit and just got the Wii plus.  It sure makes exercises fun  ;D ;D   I could use a new trainer on mine though..... he is pretty hard on me  :P  Hee hee

Thanks guys for the input. I am so excited to try it, I can't wait for it to get here. I need a good workout now that it's getting to cold to swim.

OMG I love this thing you guys, it rocks! I get on in the morning, do the body test...it tells me where I am and shows me what I've lost. It is awesome. Then I do a few fun games of exercise and I'm done. My son is not as thrilled as I am, exercising is not high on his list but he's doing it. I think though that my husband is having the most fun with it. My wii age is pretty high because of my foot/ankle problems but my husband keeps scoring in teen years and is loving it. I think this would be a great Christmas gift for an FTS family!!

You know sherripie you are correct! In my family we always had game/card night where we got together as a family and played games or cards. ;)

Hubs and I duke it out with boxing.... that is a hoot!!   ;D ;D  I love to beat him at bowling or his favorite golf game LOL  It really is a fun thing to have.  Anything that gets you moving is a good thing even if it is a game.  So if you don't like to exercise and don't want to do the Wii fit, playing the games will get you moving for sure.  I bet there are some games out there that will get your son excited  ;) ;)
