Welcome to the FTS family, stevendawn1990!!! :) :) :) :) :) :)

The number of carbs to maintain goal weight will vary from person to person.

The way to find your "magic number", is to SLOWLY add a gram or two of carbs back into your regimen.
When you notice a weight gain, back off until you find the amount that holds your weight.

But keep in mind that the number of carbs necessary can vary a little from day to day depending on your metabolism, activity levels, etc..
But staying within a few pounds of goal is a realistic expectation.

Hi stevendawn1990, welcome to the party. I'd like to elaborate on the correct advice you have received from Tony. As you add carbs back into your life be sure to be VERY VERY picky about which carbs you choose. Off limit carbs are all grains and grain products, all refined sugar and products which include them including honey. You need to also stay away from all fruit juices and high sugar fruits like grapes, bananas, raisins etc...  Generally speaking stay away from all the carbs which spike your blood sugar and will cause you to begin cravings again.

The carbs you should now start slowly adding into your diet should come from the lower glycemic fruits and veggies, hard beans, even larger serving sizes of what you love....just keep an eye on that scale. As soon the scale starts tipping upward start cutting back on some carbs until you find your baseline. Remember "carb creep" is a real danger for us and we need to be vigilant.  8)

So true, Doug! :)

We can't go back to eating the junk we did before FTS and expect to maintain weight.
Eating that garbage will damage our health and put the weight we lost back on, PLUS more!
