Hi Marty, no need to go without your favorite! To make the maple glaze for these doughnuts simply cook down some sugar free maple syrup till thick then paint on your doughnuts
Plain Cake Doughnuts
Ingredients
You will need a mini doughnut pan
2 cups “NOW” brand unblanched almond flour
1/3rd cup Xylitol
2 teaspoons baking powder
˝ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon butter melted
2 eggs beaten
˝ cup unsweetened almond milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
˝ teaspoon ground nutmeg
˝ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions
1. Preheat Oven to 325 degrees.
2. Spray pan with non stick cooking spray
3. In a large bowl mix flour, Xylitol, baking powder and salt.
4. Add butter, eggs, milk, vanilla, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
5. Fill pan holes 2/3 full.
6. Bake 8 minutes or until firm.
7. Cool on wire rack.
TIP- Have all your ingredients premeasured and ready to go, these come together very quickly. I like these plain, but you can dip them in a cinnamon Xylitol mix when hot. Mix 2 parts Xylitol to one part cinnamon. If sweeter dust is desired mix 3 parts Xylitol to 1 part cinnamon.
