no sugar and dizzy
« on: January 26, 2012, 08:38:34 AM »
Hi people. Hope everyone is fine.  I had a question . I am type 2 diabetic and take pills. I have been sugar free for 2 weeks and I am getting dizzy and a bit nausea . Is it due to taking my med and having no sugar.? I hate to have to go to the doctor for this minor problem. thanks

Check your blood sugar. You may be taking  metformin that you don't need and call your doctor. The detox can cause dizziness but not nausea ;)

Yes please be careful and check that sugar.  Before FTS I was on two pills and insulin and still couldn't get good control.  After two weeks of FTS my sugar was normal and I had to come off of all the meds.  Those are for sure signs of low sugar  ;)  As Umpa said please let us know how you are doing  :)

Tyler gets dizzy and he always used to say his stomach felt funny when he is low . They old us at the hospital you might get sweaty too . He does get sweaty

The little thing they told us to remember about blood sugar is "If your high your dry if you low you wet "  ;D

Hi sweeties! :)

If you are eating high carb, which will  boost your blood sugar, Metformin works somewhat OK to lower it.
By removing the carbs, the blood sugar naturally lowers and taking Metformin will cause it to go even lower.

I used to get dizzy spells all the time when I was taking Metformin for blood sugar while eating low carb.
After losing a lot of weight, my doc took me off Metformin in March 2010.
After that, my dizzy spells stopped.
What you do today is what matters!
