The great thing is that you can hit re-start any day!  :)  I went online to try and find the nutritional information on the Fresh & Easy salads, but there's several kinds.  My guess is that the carb count includes a sugary salad dressing, croutons, and there may be things like carrots in the mix too.   I am not sure what kind of dressing you like, but I have found that I can make GREAT my favorite 1000 island dressing for almost no carbs.....mayo, sugar free salad cubes, sugar free ketchup, and a little dijon mustard.

Oh, and I eat cheese all the time!   ;D

Hi SKINNY! :)

There are 4 grams of carbs in 1 teaspoon of table sugar (sucrose).
27 grams is almost 7 teaspoons of sugar! :o :o :o
Be sure to subtract the fiber (a source of good carbs).

Prepackaged foods are VERY dangerous!
They often hide large amounts of sugar and/or salt.

It's very important to ALWAYS carefully read nutrition labels BEFORE you buy something.
You'll find that most foods with these labels are sugar and/or salt "bombs".

Maddysmom is right!... Don't worry about the cheese on your McDoubles!... Cheese is a staple for most of us!
But avoid regular ketchup and McDonald's "secret sauce" which is high in sugar.
If you do that, you can enjoy them with a clear conscience.

I suggest that you reread Doug's book.
I've read it about 20 times... Often for inspiration if nothing else.

What you do today is what matters!

Deciding what to eat is about as personal as it gets and what you choose has lots of consequences.  Now that you've taken the step into wanting it, welcome to the FTS lifestyle.  You'll have many opportunities to figure out what you're made of but trying, failing, trying again and succeeding is the best self-esteem builder in the world.  Looking and feeling better worth the difficult choices.

There is a lot of expertise on this forum.  Ask questions and certainly share your ups and downs.  You'll be amazed at the support you'll get.

Hi SKINNY! :)

Unless it's some form of obligation to another, or being paid to do it, why would anyone willingly do something they really did not want to do?

I'm so happy to hear you've identified your initial stumbling block (the "want to" factor).
But now that you have, it's time to make a commitment to FTS for YOU!

The FTS lifestyle will improve your quality of life through better health.
Making a commitment to succeed at it is necessary for it to really work.
But this is true of doing most anything worthwhile.

With commitment, you will be on your way to a new, skinny, YOU! :) :) :)

You can do this!... And we're all here for you when you need us!

Tony
