Thanks, Jo!

I used less than 3/4 cup, so I'll try 1/2 next time I make them. Just wasn't sure if it would mess up the combo. Maybe the cocoa powder would help make up for the difference.

Do you use Xylitol or something else for baking? I'm not sure if I like the taste. Maybe I'm just being picky ...  :-\

I use xylitol . The cookies were something different they were just ok to me  . Have you ever made the brownies on here that I called Tylers low sugar brownies ?

Those or what we make the most ,they are delish !! Tyler loves them he even makes them hisself !
WE like the banana nut bread and cocounut cake . I make both of those as muffins or in a 13 x 9 cassorole dish .

That is the 3 favorite deserts .

No, I haven't tried the brownies yet. In fact, I haven't done much sugar-free/low-carb baking at all. I should, but it's harder for me having to order stuff online so much.

I did find another sugar cookie recipe. This one uses baking soda and has an option to replace the flour with almond flour. Otherwise, it sounds a lot like the one you posted. I used up the last of my almond flour, so I guess I'll have to wait before trying anything new.

Okay, I topped some of these cookies off with cream cheese and it made them a whole lot better. Mine were too sweet for some reason and I think the cream cheese balanced that out a bit. :)

Maybe next time I'll add some cocoa powder to liven them up a bit.

That was a great idea Rena
I made these last week and didn't get a chance to post a picture.  They were really good, but maybe next time I'll add a little more cocoa to them. I only added 3 Tbs of my 0 carb cocoa powder.   Yummy  ;D  Once baked, if you freeze them first it is easier to work with them.  I used a small cookie dough scooper to scoop my carb smart ice cream.  It holds exactly 1 Tbs when leveled off and is perfect for the cookies I made with my cookie press.  I can't remember exactly how many I ended up with but I believe my cookie press made at least 4 dozen cookies.

Jo's sugar cookie recipe= 5.5 net carbs for intire recipe  ;D
Bryers Carb smart ice cream vanilla= 4 net carbs per 1/2 cup serving (1/2 cup = 8 Tbs)

What you see on this plate is about 3 net carbs  ;D ;D

I might better add another half a carb for the extras I added on the cookies...LOL

I agree. Mine turned out a little flat and sticky. Would it help to add baking powder? If so, how much? Also, mine are way too sweet. That's usually not a problem for me, but I've found almond flour is already kind of sweet. How much could I reduce the sweetener without screwing up the dry ingredients for the recipe?

This may be a job for OAT FIBER! I don't know where my netrition order went... my last order from Amazon took 6 days to make a 5 hour trip!

I just checked netrition.com and the package tracking said expected delivery is day after tomorrow. It was in IL on the 10th. That's the last entry. It started in NY, so I guess I can give them a few days to get it across the country. We'll just say the snow slowed them down. It must be snowing somewhere!

I always check Amazon first - I think they either didn't have the fiber or the price so I went with netrition this time. It was my first order with netrition. I guess it's only been 8 days, but it seems like longer for this order. Amazon is always so quick...

Hi Sarah! :)

My experience has been that Netrition is almost always cheaper.
So they are usually my first stop.
On a rare occasion, Amazon will have a cheaper price.

If Netrition doesn't carry something I'm looking for (pretty rare), I'll then check Amazon and a few other sources.
Plus you can order as much or little as you like for only $4.95 shipping! :)

Thanks, Tony! I'll check netrition first next time! You know, you go with what you're comfortable with. In a rut... in a rut...
