Yep, that's what mine looked like! I guess I didn't get any of the bad batch, but since I'd never used the unblanched almond flour before I didn't know what it was supposed to look like! lol

Jo is there a lot number on yours?  Mine show one under the best by date.....  I could just be the batch that you have.  Mine is a little darker but not as dark as what you describe.  My concern would be that if it smells funny that it is, or going rancid     How aggravating though that you have to send it all back and not be able to get all your money back    I really prefer to buy mine local for that reason.... I can see what it looks like.  But also that is why I like to make my own to...LOL  I can keep the almonds in the freezer until I need some and it is always fresh      I hope you get at least most of your money back...

Jo, why don't you contact NOW directly and explain what's happening. If hey have a bad batch out there I'm certain they'll know about it and have a re-call/exchange policy.

I talked to them and they said that their last order does seem to be quite a bit darker and they do not kow why . They said they would refund my money I am sending it back for a refund but I had to pay to ship it back which is about half of my refund.

I would complain about the shipping costs, Jo. You never know if they'll refund that to keep a customer. Amazon refunds the shipping that YOU pay to return defective items, even if they're original shipping was free. Ask to speak to a supervisor.

I received my order and the Almond Flour is a little darker than normal but I opened 1 of the bags and it smells fine.  Ordered from Netrition.  I can check the lot numbers on it tonight Jo.  I did look at the expiration date and it was sometime in 2013.

I used some this morning for OMM and it was fine.  My bag is lot 1438763 best if used by 1-15-2013 and then it has 08:19.

Thanks Amber I dont  have them anymore I sent them back they gave me credit for the flour but not the shipping . I ordered some from soap .com and it is fine . Glad yours was ok
