Kim's Low Carb Pizza

NOTE:  This is the best low carb pizza ever ~ tastes just like a thin crust pizza you could buy anywhere!!  I keep all the ingredients in the freezer so that I can have pizza anytime I want it.  Make sure your pizza sauce doesn't have sugar in it.  Make your own batch and freeze it in snack size baggies.   Put the baggies into a freezer bag.  An entire pizza has 14 carbs so watch your serving size

1 Joseph's Flax, Oat Bran & Whole Wheat Lavash Bread
1 1/3 cups mozzarella cheese
2 tablespoons pizza sauce
20 slices of pepperoni
Olive Oil Spray

Spray a baking sheet with the oil.  Put the bread on the sheet & then spray with a little oil.  Smear 2 tablespoons of sugar free pizza sauce on the bread.  Top with the cheese and then the pepperoni.  Bake at 375 for approximately 20 - 30 mins.  The whole pizza is 14 net carbs and 1/2 of the pizza is 7 net carbs.

I used the low carb tortillas and WF zero carb marinara sauce to make crispy thin crust pizza and my husband even loved it cold. It is great to have so many options.

Good idea, owensmath! :)

Low carb marinara sauce will reduce the carb count of this recipe a bunch! ;)

I place the low carb tortilla or flatbread on the oven rack and crisp it up a little (turning once, but watch it, it doesn't take long) then take it out and put on my toppings.  That way it is firm enough to cut and eat with your hands.  I find if I don't do that first, it is too soft and I have to eat it with a knife and fork.  Love low carb pizza, there are so many variations by just changing up your toppings.

That's a great idea Kim!!  sounds yummy  :D   If you do a search on the home page you can find lots of posts about the pitas and the lavish bread.  Quite a few different ideas out there ;)   My favorite pizza is to use the pitas.....they make great individual size pizzas with only 4 net carbs for the crust and what ever you add on top....yummmmm

Sherrripie turned me onto the Josephs Flax pitas and I love them!Especially when i am traveling or out and about.I can grab a burger at a fast food place and stuff it in the pita or grab some lunchmeat and cheese and fill it up.I can only eat a half of one in a sitting they are really filling! ;)
