stopping in to say hello
« on: May 17, 2012, 01:52:15 PM »
Hello ya all,
It's been months since I checked in with you all. I am still fat as a pig and desperate to change, I always find hope when I read your discussions and encouragement. I think where I could of been by now had I not quit your fat to skinny program. I got concerned with my heart when I began to have chest pains and was so fearful I was eating too much high fats, but when I go back to normal foods, trying to watch the calories, oh boy, what a roller coaster ride I seem to stay on.
I still feel like you all are 'old friends' when I read your posts. Keep praying for me . God bless ya all. Rose

Did you get your chest pains diagnosed, Rosie?  You can't undo the past few months but you can surely jump back on the FTS bandwagon and ask your family to support you while you get healthy.  What you eat is your decision.

I'm glad to see that you are back with us.  You know what you need to do.  We're all behind you, as always.

Thanks everyone.
Andrea my family doc did an ekg, than she thought there was a problem, sent me to get a monitor which I had to wear then return, than when I went back to see my family doc, she just said oh it was okay ... that was about it. I have not been having it much anymore, sometimes I think maybe it was more broncial than heart due to I also have asthma, but than sometimes I do feel some pains and worry. My husband has to miss work everytime I have to go to doctors, so I try not to go much, if however it continued or got any worse I would for sure see about it more. Being as huge as I am, just walking from room to room makes me short of breath and my heart pounds fast.  My husband had to have open  heart in 2010, he is not overweight but he has sugar and heart disease. So we both need to get back with this program.
With God all things are possible

We're right here for you, Rosie! :)

Two weeks after I started FTS, I had a doctor visit and discovered that my blood triglycerides (blood fat) went WAY DOWN!
As did my bad cholesterol, blood glucose, and blood pressure.

During that two weeks, like now, my diet was and is very high in fats.
I believe dietary fat is not likely to be the cause of your chest pains.

It's very likely that your asthma is the culprit.

I have a dear friend you suffers with chronic asthma.
He says there are times he has some worrysome chest pains.
Lately, he says it's been a bit worse than usual.

This time of year, pollens and other allergens are very high.
They may be aggravating your asthma.
Hopefully, your doc will find the problem.

I will continue to pray for you, Rosie! :)

Tony
What you do today is what matters!
