Fish tacos - lime juice?
« on: May 22, 2012, 12:19:12 PM »
Hi Umpa!

In fish recipes (I'm specifically thinking of a fish taco recipe) and tex mex recipes, they often call for lime juice and lemon juice. This flavor is a necessity. Have you found anything that offers the same sour/sweet taste without all the carbs or do you just use less than what's typically called for. Really, 3 Tblsp for an entire recipe that will be split among six people isn't that bad.....or is it? Maybe I'm just carb-paranoid at this point?  :)

I'm guessing carb paranoia is a pretty common phenomenon after you'd lost thirty or so pounds....I just don't want to sabotage it!

I used the limes. The tacos were awesome. ;) Thanks!
