Limit on whipping cream?
« on: July 22, 2010, 01:06:50 PM »
I have been making a lot of freezes using whipping cream instead of milk.  It's hot here, I am am used to ice cream.  This is a great substitute but I have gained nearly 3 lbs.  My portions are the correct size in my meals.  But I have 'gone crazy' making stuff with the cartoned (not aerosol) whipping cream.  Is this just a fluctuation not to worry about or should I be limiting my whipping cream intake?

I make my ice cream from whipping cream no problem.Just keep your portions in check.Diet soda also makes a great Popsicle. As women our weight can fluctuate up to 10 pounds a month.Just stay on top of it. ;)

Hi Millie     Home made whipped cream is easy peasy.    All you need is some heavy whipping cream and a little sweetener.  I like to add some vanilla or other flavoring to it as well... yummm.  Put all in a mixing bowl and whip with a hand mixer until it forms soft peaks.  You wouldn't believe how much better the home made tastes compaired to the store bought.   ;)   As far as the carb count goes....that will depend on the carb count of the products that you use.    If you can find it....get the 0 carb heavy whipping cream and always use a 0 carb sweetener   ;) ;)

Hi Millie! :)

They are the same thing.
As always, be sure to read the nutrition label for carb count.
What you do today is what matters!

I haven't experimented with chia seeds but my advice would be to not use them if they aren't helping.

I'm not sure why it would make you feel hungrier  ???...Like you, I thought they were supposed to help make you feel full.  I've had a bag in my cabnet for a while now and just hadn't had a chance to try them yet.  I've heard so many good things about eating them.  They are supposed to be very healthy.....

I just mixed some in a serving of sugar free almond milk with a bit of sugar free french vanilla davinci syrup.....I have to say I really like it  ;D  It put me in mind of a thin tapioca pudding.  I'll let you know if I notice it making me hungrier than usual....I sure hope not  ;)
