day 11
« on: June 12, 2010, 10:09:22 AM »
I am doing well with my very busy life and the program. I need to experiment with cooking a bit more but time is not permitting that right now. I have lost about 6 pounds in 11 days. I have gone up to 30 grams of net carbs a few of those days so I know once I refine it and get down to 20 or under I'll lose more weight. One question though, how often do you all weigh yourselves? I have been every day and I am getting discouraged due to the scale not moving everyday.....
I'm Blessed!!

I suggest the ladies weigh in every two weeks. You guys have sooo much fluctuation in weight due to.....you know.... that it is a common "up and down" weigh in...so, stay off the scale, stay under 20 carbs per day and let nature make you thin :)

Hi CJ!

I am also on day 11 and loving every minute of this new life change.
When I started I told myself I would weigh once a week. After the first weigh in, I started to weigh myself daily...
Not a good idea I am finding out...I don't want to discourage myself by what the scale says or doesn't say.
So...let's make a pact to weigh in every 2 weeks.  I will weigh myself this coming Monday morning....then again every 2 weeks.
Do you want to try that with me?

Also, I bought a notebook to record my weigh ins...just a small one to watch my progress....sometimes that helps me too!
Don't get discouraged! We can so do this!!  :)

I have slowly but steadily lost 3 lbs a week ...i know i went over 20 carbs a couple times this past week so I only lost 2 but still it is going down and I am now cutting my portions smaller...i do not even want them large anymore and I am never 'starving' at all..... i feel wonderful...
I know this is truly NOT a race with myself and especially NOT with any of my precious family here either, but I keep hearing in my Spirit
"slow and steady wins the race" so I figure I already win by following that still small voice and sticking to the plan permanently in the way of relaxing while making patience my friend for the rest of my life journey. When I reach my goal, I will enjoy adding a few things back in my eating but I will never ever go back to the lies again and for all this I am so grateful and having a great time! I thank my Lord for showing the way!
Love and blessings to any which way and day we choose to weigh, we win everyday while we lose! \:D/

Sbclark, let's do it! I'll weigh on Monday and not again for two weeks. Doug and Cyndi, thanks so much for the encouragement, I need it. I just finished an awesome dinner. Qdoba mexican fresh grill. I had a naked burrito, no tortilla, rice or beans. It was a bed of lettuce, shredded beef, cheese, sour cream and salsa. The web site calculated it was 7 grams of carbs for the entire bowl and I ate 1/2. Yummy.
