Low carb Blackberry Jam recipe
« on: September 27, 2012, 10:45:32 PM »
Sugar Free Blackberry Jam

INGREDIENTS
2 cups fresh or frozen berries
24 drops FTS Zero Sweetener

Making sugar free berry jam is easy. I recommend Blackberries, Raspberries and Strawberries on my program and this easy recipe works for all of them. Using a non stick saucepan cook down  a couple of cups of frozen or fresh berries over medium heat. You’re looking for an “oatmeal” consistency. As you cook out the water and the berries start to thicken remember to stir often to avoid burning. Once you’ve reached the proper thick consistency remove from heat and stir in Zero sweetener until the jam reaches a sweetness to your liking. This will vary depending on personal taste and the natural sweetness of the berries you’re using.
TIP – If you’re using fresh berries you’ll need to add a little water to your saucepan

Thanks Doug for the simple but lovely recipe!!! :) :) :)

Ripe blackberries are all around our property right now.
I'll sometimes snack on a few (and I mean FEW) when I'm working around the fence lines.

We'll have to go out and pick some this weekend and make some jam! ;D ;D ;D
What you do today is what matters!

They freeze wonderfully Tony, pick em and simply put them in a freezer safe container, they don't even stick together.  ;)
