Collecting Safari
« on: June 05, 2010, 12:29:56 PM »
Doug and I just got back from making the rounds all over Raleigh to buy stuff for the Fat to Skinny way of eating.  We hit the Farmer's Market where some folks we go to church with have a nice little indoor store and bought some fresh sausage and veggies.  Then to Whole Foods where we found beautiful Jicama and Shiratake noodles which we just had for lunch for the first time, yummy!  Then to Kroger on the great La Tortilla Factory tortilla hunt.  Still haven't found those, guess I'll have to order online.  Browsed the recipe book for the first time this morning and can't wait to make some of these recipes.  I am about to go make the beanit butter cookies now.  Sorry if this is too long, I'm just very excited!!!!

Umpa, (Cool name btw) I used the recipe in the book, I guess that is Doug's.  Where might I find yours.  Also, I'm interested in the souffle recipe using Swiss Miss 25 calorie cocoa mix. Haven't seen that recipe anywhere.

Souffles are wicked carb friendly! You can use the swiss miss or just good old fashioned unsweetened hersheys cocoa .I will check to see if my recipe is posted I can't remember.

LOL! I also made Doug's yummy beef jerky and some dried strawberries. I kinda messed up the berries but I know what I did wrong so I can fix it. I didnt break my new dehydrator (the ONLY ONE in all of Springfield) or burn anything up.

The recipe for the Beanit butter cookies in the book had different ingredients than Doug's video.  He adds crushed crispbread and Edamane in the video.  I want to make the one that is no carbs so the video version probably has some because of the two ingredients.
Peace and blessings,
