Planning for Daughter's 14th birthday
« on: April 01, 2013, 04:18:13 PM »
Her birthday is the 23rd of this month. Money is tight so no gift. I want to make her a nice meal. I need a good sugar-free ice cream recipe to make in ice cream maker. I have a Cuisinart ice cream maker and also a Ninja that can whip up ice cream. She would like chocolate. I'd like to add some nuts too. I have have used Xylitol in my ice cream maker but it came out runny.

Her all time favorite ice cream is chocolate chip, but she really likes plain chocolate too.

Chocolate chips are easy.

Chocolate Chips Ingredients  2 squares unsweetened bakers chocolate  ¼ cup Xylitol  ¼ cup heavy whipping cream
Directions
1. Melt chocolate in microwave safe dish.
2. Take out of microwave and add Xylitol(Zero) and heavy whipping cream mix well.
3. Pour into 9x9 pan, plate or pie pan and put in the freezer. Freeze for 3 hours.
4. For quick freeze use tip below.
5. Once frozen break into pieces and use for recipes.
You can also use a pastry bag or ziploc bag to make pretty chips but I think it wastes alot of chocolate ;)
