HI, TabyTaby! :)

Since you must weigh yourself frequently to monitor your fluid retention,
you should adopt a modified view of the scale.

If your "water weight" does not get out of hand, consider it a good weigh in! :) :) :)
And OVER TIME, as your weight lowers, consider those good weigh ins! :) :) :)
The ones in between, are just part of the journey.

For most of us, our FTS journeys are like traversing hills and valleys.
As long as we remain committed to our goals, and stick to the FTS rules,
we'll be healthier each day, and eventually reach our "destinations". ;D

It sounds like you might have a BIA scale like I do. It tells me water, fat, etc. lots of info and it varies greatly deep ding on my activity levels. It even has an athlete mode...not sure the difference only I think it may account for more glycogen being held in the muscles and tends to be more accurate for me (though I do run a lot, I suppose it makes sense but don't consider myself an athlete by any means). It will jump from 28.5% bf to 34% so I'm not sure what to make of that. However my water measurements seem pretty accurate. Is that the kind of scale you use? Mines a Taylor and wasn't very pricey so it could just be a quality thing. I still hop on my old dial scale most often if I do weigh myself. Most days I forget!

Oh gosh! I posted a long post back to this and it accidentally deleted >:O bah humbug. I'm too lazy to type it out again...Happy2bthin, no I don't have a scale like that unfortunately, I wish I did...mine does record weight and show weight loss, but not specific break downs...I check by weighing everyday, and then when I feel swollen and tight, I can take a lasix and weigh after that and last time it showed a 6 pound weight loss and the other day it showed a 3 pound weight loss. So, that's how I keep up with it. Tony you are right, and also accurate with what you said, it's valleys and peaks, but usually when following the program, I can see the same weight loss over a month's time...I keep myself motivated with my skinny pants :P a pair of Victoria's Secret size XS pants that I squeezed into when I lost most of my weight in 2011...and I really look forward into finding "new" clothes in my closet like today that I used to be able to wear...nothing is better than that!
May you be blessed in all your endeavors, but most importantly, may you be humble. God keep you.

Hi, TabyTaby! :)

Like the stock market, past performance is NO guarantee of future results! ;)
So think of every day as a NEW day in your FTS journey. :)

As we go along in life, our bodies go through changes.
Those "changes" will effect results.
But, using those "skinny pants" you used to wear as a "target", is an EXCELLENT way to stay motivated!

So keep your "eyes on the prize", and one day, you'll be where you want to be! ;D

Exactly Tony...my body has had a lot of changes...lost a kidney and had a baby! Plus, this time around I have dairy and egg product I can utilize! Before I couldn't...so the weight came off even faster...but not as healthy. I can't wait for the day I can post my "after" photo in my skinny pants! YIPPEE!!!
May you be blessed in all your endeavors, but most importantly, may you be humble. God keep you.
