I just wanted to share this article I found exposing the truths about Dreamfields Pasta...just in case anyone doubts this is a good research and review http://www.dietdoctor.com/the-dreamfields-pasta-fraud
There are a couple of things about this Diet Dr. test that make me wonder. Why did he eat 2 servings in his test instead of going with a single serving. A double-serving would definitely raise his blood sugar a lot higher. The second thing is that we don't eat pasta out of the pan, at the very least we stir in some butter. He doesn't say, did he add butter or put it in a sauce, or maybe meatballs and sauce. Whatever he ate with the pasta would have an impact on his blood sugar. To me, the only fair test would be to eat a single serving with nothing on it. Any volunteers?
I have read a lot online about Dreamfield's, especially at diabetes forums. Dreamfield's affects everyone's blood sugar differently. Some can eat a small amount with no problem, others can't. Notice that I said a small amount. As for me, I don't have it often, but sometimes I make a pan of meatballs and sauce, and add a few strings of Dreamfield's pasta, and I do mean a very few strings. It doesn't have much affect on my blood sugar, but if I ate more, it certainly would. But I do have to say that even though Dreamfield's doesn't impact my blood sugar as much as regular pasta would, I do believe their claims are extremely exaggerated. If I wasn't able to restrict myself to a few strings, I would definitely stay away from it.
