My Girly Girl

Bought the dress at a thrift store for $4 and had it dry cleaned for $16. The dress still had the new tag on it, it just had a stain, but it's gone now.
She wore it a formal Jobs Daughter's event last Saturday night.

Hi, Susie! :)

Mary is becoming such a beautiful young woman!
And that dress looks lovely on her.

Thank you Tony & Stephanie.
She'll be 15 on the 23rd, my baby is growing up...sniff...sniff
She feels her studies, reading, closeness with God are more important than boys now.
She also thinks it is so funny how shy the tall lanky boys, at the Masons, are around her, lol.
She has confidence in greeting the men, boys & family when we go to Demolay (Mason boys program) and  the Mason events.
The older girl in our bethel is part deaf, has a speech impediment and was selected last year to be California's Grand Bethel Queen. She is very intelligent, conservative, not boy crazy, funny, very helpful and a wonderful example for Mary, as well as all the girls in our bethel.

Here is a photo of the Grand Bethel Honored Queen last year, holding a cute owl after being chosen:

Mary turned 15 today!!! Surprised her with Umpas Red Velvet cupcakes with coconut pecan frosting. They were waiting for her on the table with decorations and gifts when she woke up.

I gave her a chaplain charm, charm bracelet and a butterfly book mark. I made her a homemade card with my scrapbooking materials. Her dad gave her a pretty fly swatter and $40 he received as safety award at work. My friend who lives in Colorado mailed her a vintage necklace and funny card.
