A question on Miracle Noodle - Miracle Rice

Considering ordering some Miracle Rice, the bags hold 2.3 servings. In the spirit of being budget conscious. I would want to only use one serving per meal. Now the question is, what is the best way to store the unused portion until the next day?

Hi, Renee!

With any konjac (or soy) noodle product, I store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
DO NOT FREEZE KONJAC NOODLES!!!... THEY WILL TURN TO MUSH!

Hey Tony,

This may sound like another stupid question but do you rinse the whole package dry them and then store them, or do you store them in the liquid they arrive in?

I just don't want to ruin them, have to be cost conscious!

Hi Renee, I wasn't to crazy about the Konjac rice. I like the noodles, fettuccine the best seconded by the rigatoni shape. The rice didn't hold enough texture for me. 

Instead I make caulirice, very simple to do. Set up your food processor with a cheese grating blade and drop as many cauliflower florets as you need through it. The result is cauliflower in the size of rice. Next saute the caulirice in butter till it reaches the cooked stage you like. I enjoyed "al dente" rice in my rice eating years VS soft so it doesn't take long to reach my consistency. Next season with what you wish as the caulirice will pick up whatever flavors you add to it.

Hi Doug,

I had planned on going with the caulirice when I start my maintenance plan. It was the opposite for me I liked the rice, but not so much the noodles.

Right or wrong, at this stage I'm going for zero carb fillers as much as I can, which is why I ordered the rice, but looking forward to the day when I reach my second goal of a healthy weight. As I've reached my first goal of getting my blood sugar in the normal range daily.

Hi, Renee!

Do not open a package until ready to use. Then drain and rinse ALL its contents.
Any unused noodles can be stored for a time in a refrigerated air-tight container.

Beyond a week or so, I don't know how much longer they'll last in the fridge.

I'm sure the noodles stored in the air -tight container in the fridge certainly won't last more than a day or two at the most!

Hi, Renee!

Like I said in my post, the noodles will last for about a week in the fridge.
Beyond that, I don't know as I've never stored them longer than that.
I know this from several years personal experience.

On caveat, although the noodles may keep for a week, what they are cooked with may not.
