stomach issue questions
« on: November 03, 2014, 08:29:55 AM »
I've been on FTS since July and I've had success.  However, now I'm experiencing stomach problems (stomach pains & aches, diarreah).  My husband thinks it is because I don't eat any grains.  Has anyone else experienced stomach problems?  I do eat fiber with fruits & vegetables but that's all.  I do take a multivitamin but maybe I need to take others.  I guess I should consult my doctor.  I've tried the low carb tortillas but rarely eat them or other grains.  Any suggestions?

Hi Alison, sugar alcohols are the main cause of the issues you're describing. They are found in sugar free candies, ice cream and other products sweetened with them including protein bars. Are you eating these items?

Welcome to the FTS family, Alison!!! :) :) :) :) :) :)

I agree with Doug.

Sugar alcohols are notorious for causing problems with the stomach and gut.

Some don't realize that diet sodas are high in sugar alcohols, too.
In fact, most foods that's "sugar free" but sweet, contain them.

I  hope you figure out the cause of this issue soon!

Tony

Doug and Tony are right. Maybe you should try avoid eating such food that contains alcohol sugar. If you are eating those food.
