Diet sodas NOT created equal!

I picked up some diet Orange Crush to make some orange-cream sicles and discovered that it has 4 carbs per serving (8oz).  I guess I just thought all diet sodas were zero carbs... Obviously, I need to read those lables BEFORE buying!

i love orange diet-rite ... 0 carbs, 0 calories, 0 sodium, 0 caffine...
made with splenda which I prefer over any of the sugar alcohols that we have no say over in SF products...
they also have white grape, raspberry, black cherry, and a couple more...

well, the can has 0 carbs, etc. written in big print across the front, which sometimes means 'not a thing' until you read the ingredients(or additives) also, but do think some people might not benefit well with sugar alcohols especially if you are extremely sensitive, so i have only heard....no proof...surely Doug will know and he has recommended the diet-rite soda here in the forum somewhere as that is how I even found out about them~~   ...certainly has to be better than the crush!! amen~~

Splenda has 1  carb per packet.

Double check with Doug cause i am in Texas but I count soda as one carb a can.

Splenda is a Sucralose with added bulking agents...."dextrose" and "maltodextrin". Made from corn these agents add carbs to Splenda brand Sucralose, 24 grams per cup. Pure sucralose contains no bulking agents. If the soda Diet Rite is being sweetened with pure sucralose, and I suspect it is, it will be carb free. Check the label for the ingredients I've listed above.
