Gary I agree totally.  I have an old ipod shuffle.....works fine, I put that thing on and off I go!  But I do understand Jo's frustration, when its too hot, its not exactly inviting to get out there into the great outdoors!  I bought a treadmill and am loving getting on it each day.

Doreen congratulations, you are also an inspiration to us that have a long way to go!  BTW I did measure myself and although I put on a pound this week (maybe due to the treadmill?), I have lost 4.5 inches in total in just over 2 weeks.  I'm happy with that and my clothes are definitely looser.

I feel so much better, I'm not deterred.

It is to hot for a gal of my size to be walking out in this heat . I could have a heat strok on the street & 911 would have to come & cut my cloths off .  No thanks ,I think I will wait till it gets cooler . Plus you said you didnt start exercising till you lost some of your fat .

Stairs...I love my stairs. I have two sets in the NC cabin and two sets in the FL Keys home. Simple way to keep moving......stairs. Have a shopping mall nearby? Air conditioning is always cold at the mall! Walk from one end to the other and back again....along the way pick out that cute dress you'll be wearing a few months from now......keep moving....moving....moving. Exercise can come later but you owe it to yourself to move...move....move  8)

I watch DYAO and I always want to dance with them. I mostly get my exercise from running up and down stairs and the 30 or so dogs I walk on Wednesday.
