I started this new way of eating on Sept. 8th and have already lost 7.5#!! Woo Hoo!  I have always been overweight and now am morbidly obese. I am truly enjoying my new way of thinking and eating! Thanks Doug for this book! You are an encouragement to me.  My husband is also eating this way too and that really helps! I have over 200# to lose but am going to take it a day at a time. I know that it is possible with the F2S supporters and my wonderful God, I CAN DO THIS!  Thanks again for the information.  P.S. I love what you say in your book about being a special person just wanting to be normal! That just about says it all!

You are very welcome Margie and of course it's going to happen! 200 pounds will be gone from your little body if you stay true to this plan and rely on the love and support from your FTS forum members I would set a two year goal for your journey, don't get discorouged when hubby loses quicker than you, it's just the way our bodies work. WELCOME!

Welcome Margie!!  You have come to the right place.  Any "diet" I have ever been on always left me feeling hungry or that I was being deprived of my favourite foods.  This new way of life is amazing!  I don't feel hungry and with the help of Doug's book, Doug, his wife Umpa and all of the forum members, there are lots of substitute suggestions that are very close to my favourite foods.  Everyone is so helpful and encouraging that it makes this seem easy.  Good luck with your journey.  Hope to see you on the forum often.

Margie you are not alone. There are several of us out here that have 200 too lose, I was one of them and I'm almost half way there. Trust me if I can do it so can you. Just take it one day at a time and pretty soon it becomes second nature. I don't crave sweets anymore and I can even eat my FTS meals which I love, right across from my best friend eating my favorite pizza and it doesn't even faze me.
