MISTAKE # 1,2,& 3
« on: October 15, 2010, 06:21:26 PM »
Mistake #1  I went past the halloween candy aisle Monday .
Mistake #2 I bought a bag of SF candies .
Mistake #3 I have ate WAY to many of them this week .

So now I feel sick & bloated have I messed up my week and will I gain weight or have I  just made myself sick . I have stayed under 20 carbs but I feel like the calories & fat from the candie will do me in . Plus I think that it made me want to eat more food no carb food but more of it .  What have I done ????? >:( >:( >:( :( :( :(

Hi joagain!

Beebs is right. After a couple of days you'll feel tip top.
Any weight gain should be very temporary unless you went way over 20 net carbs.

In Doug's book "FAT To Skinny Fast and Easy!", he talks about sweet treats with sugar alcohols.
He said they should be only eaten OCCASSIONALLY.
They should be "special treats" like rewards for losing weight after a weekly weigh-in.

Also, watch out for how much of them you eat in a day.
As you found out, too much of a good thing can be lousy deal.
Last time I over did it, I had explosive diarrhea AND gas pains... Sure taught me a lesson the hard way!
What you do today is what matters!

I was like that at first...difficult to restrain myself (in general because I was use to overindulgent eating)...felt bloated...waited a couple of days.....felt better....realized I can eat it and not gain weight in moderation....somewhere along the way the chocolate binging stopped as well as overeating and now I can just have one or two and be fine.
Peace and blessings,

Beebs I got gas & mouseissue I got diarrhea  hopefully it want turn explosive LOL.  I know that we are suppose to eat everything in moderation but I was/am addicted to carbs so I guess those were to much like  the real thing ,plus I have only really been doing this the right way for 3 weeks . Not strong enough for that kind of temptation .
Just hope I didnt mess my 10 lbs up. Izzet maybe I will be stronger in a couple of months ,Thanks guys !

Jo, you can count me as one of the ones that has overdone the sugar free chocolates.  One of my favorites is the sugar free coffee nips.  I have also learned the hard way to never eat more than 2 or 3 in one day. I certainly don't crave like I used to.

We were all sugar/carb addicts so you are in good company! ;D

I promise you will reach that point where you can control your eating!  For me, I noticed after eating on this plan for a while your stomach and appetite adjust and you won't feel like overeating because when you do you feel really bad/heavy. Your quantity needs also get smaller.  It's a natural process.

izzet is absolutely correct!

Remember that weight loss is a process that occurs over time.
As it occurs, our metabolisms change and adjust to living on limited sugar intake and our new weight as we lose FAT.
Part of these changes are changes in appetite.
Urges for foods full of sugars and the "urge to splurge" (overeat) slowly go away.

We are all carbohydrate addicts.
Permanently breaking an addiction takes time and commitment.
The good news is... The longer you do it, the easier it becomes and the better day-to-day life becomes too! :) :) :) :) :)
