I agree with beebs helping your son should be a priority for the entire family, thats what famalies do they support each other.I have said it a 100 times, kids are poor they are gonna eat what you bring in the house, don't bring it in.If they want to eat crap let them spend their own money on it from their allowance.By the way potatoe chips are $8.75  a pound! You are making your life difficult(behavior problems) and your kids sick by feeding them sugar.Spend time with them instead doing something they want to do..You are not abusing your kids by taking away their sugar you are teaching them how to maintain good health.Anxiety can be addressed in other ways, it needs a outlet.I am not a parent of a autistic child, but I think diet plays a part in all disease.I put up the child support board just for these issues. Please use it and continue to post advice and recipes that work for you.Other people are having the same issues and you can help them.If I can help in anyway please ask, my heart goes out to you all. :)

Thankyou it is great to know that I am not the only one with not only issue myself, but also my son who has ASD with many anxiety issues. I will work on curbing that, and I hope I can block the food coming into the house, but it is so hard to curb the tastes of the rest of the family.

I agree Cara, it's hard to keep the stuff from coming in. I find it's also hard to keep the junk down at school. It's scary what they offer the kids in middleschool. My guy has anxiety issues too and I really have seen a big difference with the cutting back on sugar. It's hard being a Mom of an AS kid, somedays more than others. If you ever want to talk just IM me, it would be nice to have someone to bounce my AS ideas off of or just to rant when it's getting too crazy.  :)
