Chocolate pie shell
• Ingredients for pie shell
• 2 tablespoons butter
• 1/4 cup xylitol
• 1/2 Tbsp vanilla
• 1eggs (room temp is best)
• 1/8 cup cocoa
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 oz unsweetened chocolate, melted
• 1/2 cups flax seed meal
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 4 teaspoons cream
• 1/4 cup water
• Preheat oven to 350 F and grease a pie pan.
1) Cream the butter until fluffy.
2) Add the xylitol to the butter and cream them together until fully combined (aim for a fluffy texture).
3) Add the vanilla and beat the egg into the mixture.
4) Add salt and cocoa, beat well.
5) Add chocolate, beat until fluffy.
6) Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well to combine
Put in pie plate and cook 20 minutes. Cool completely
Strawberry Filling
8 oz cream cheese
1/4 cup strawberries (frozen okay)
one cup heavy whipping cream
With a mixer beat cream cheese until soft..Beat until fluffy.Fold (gently stir in) chopped strawberries.Add 1 tablespoon sugarfree strawberry syrup.(or flavored syrup your choice)Mix Well.
In another bowl beat one cup whipping cream until until it looks like cool whip.Fold in gently the cream cheese and strawberry mixture.
Put in cooled pie shell and refridgerate until firm.(about three hours)
This is in the Bakery Book but with a graham cracker crust.Chocolate would be really good too.
