Tapping my knife and fork together.
« on: November 30, 2010, 12:56:54 PM »
I feel life Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. Instead of tapping my heals together saying "there is no place like home" I am tapping my knife and fork together saying "I will not go on meds, I will not go on meds." Doug and Umpa you are our wizards. Thanks.

That's funny, Cara. I'm hoping to get off high blood pressure meds once I get down to my normal weight. They me dizzy and I'd love to be off them for good.

Rena, my Dr. just cut my blood pressure dosage in half and also cut my diabetes meds.  I'm on my way!

Shihtzumom1 -- That's great! Did you notice any side effects from cutting the dose? My BP is normal now, but I don't know if that's from dropping some weight or just the meds working. I should be closer to my goal weight by the time I'm due for another check-up. Just curious how cutting the dose will make me feel. As it is now, the meds make me dizzy when I stand up too fast.

Hi Rena, I would report this to your doctor, my guess is your dose is now too high. Getting dizzy can be a symptom of your blood pressure being a bit on the low side. Which med are you on?

Rena, I was feeling a bit tired, but feel better now that the dosage has been adjusted.  Doug is right, call your Dr's office and let them know you are feeling dizzy, that's not good.
