Question sent to me by sistabec::
On your Sugar cookie receipe..can I use up my Splenda in exchange of the other sugar sub you listed? Are there any good soup receipes that replace split-pea soup?

hehehehe! Yes Beebs is correct peas are pure sugar. This post was sent to me by a new member named sistabec.Sistabec meet beebs, she is a type one diabetic.
Peas are evil ,so I think to give you the same texture i would reccomend the cream soups.(Like Cream of broccolli or you could puree green beans or italian green beans and add to the soup base.
Soup base would be
One jar alfredo sauce(2-3 carbs per serving on label Bertolli or ragu are good)
1/2 cup-3/4 cup 0 carb  cheese( i like cheddar but you can use anything you like)
1 cup veggies (broccoli,green beans ,onion,etc)
1/2 cup whipping cream
1/2 cup water(if too thick)
*You could also add ham, chicken, sausage, or any other meat you like.Just precook it.
Put all ingredients in a pan and simmer on stove 30- 45 minutes.

You can replace the xylitol with splenda.Splenda has one carb per yellow packet, so adjust the carb count.Xylitol is made from birch bark and has 0 carbs.Make sure when you buy sugarfree sweetners they are 100 % pure.

Did that answer your question? ;)

Easy cream of broccoli soup:

Boil one bag of frozen broccoli florets in 2.5 to 3 cups of chicken broth. Add a few onions for flavor if you'd like (their carbs add up). When the broccoli is softened, put the mixture into the food processor a bit at a time. Add one 8 oz softened package of cream cheese to the mixture and puree it in the food processor. Put sea salt, pepper, a touch of cayenne pepper or whatever seasonings you like and return to the pan to heat all the way through. Serve and enjoy! It's even great the next day!

Ingredients: broccoli, chicken broth, cream cheese, seasonings
