Beebs Type 1 Question
« on: August 08, 2010, 08:07:42 AM »
I came here for help to lose the weight because Doug sent me the link (thanks Doug for the book & the forum ). Now I believe Beebs is here to help me get my son on track before he becomes a adult eating to many carbs .  The question for you beebs is do you stay under 20 carbs a day & if so can you give me a idea/sample of  what you eat in a days time ? Tyler said he would not have anything good to eat if he stayed under 20 carbs so make him a believer .
Doug I tried your Mac & cheese  & I must have done  something terribly  wrong because the tofu felt like it was growing in my mouth . Tyler & my husband  tasted it spit it out  & my husband eats anything ! Well we went to bed hungry but we had a good laugh &Tyler will probably never taste anything again.  :D
From what I have read it sounds like me & Beebs should be in a cooking contest to see who cooks the worst . Probably wont be seeing any cooking vids from us .LOL

For lunch I had some pepperoni slices asiago cheese crisps from netrition and some chocolate meringues from miss meringue that I got on netrition. For super I had beans and wienies! I used a can of eden soy black soybeans walden farms sugar free honey bbq sauce and I cut up two holy hot dogs in it. Cooked it til the beans got soft. it was SO good. I had some sugar free chocolates in there to.

This morning I had two pancakes I made from a mix I got at dixie diner with sugar free walden farm blueberry syrup and some microwave bacon as it didnt require adult supervision!

Hey gonnagetthere!  About the macafoney, I am not a big fan of tofu but here is what I do and mine has been a hit with my husband and at a church function I took it to. Buy the firmest tofu and squeeze every drop of moisture you can get out of it.  I cut mine into pieces about the size of elbow macaroni.  I have to make it about once a week now.  We like to take it for our lunch the next day too! Hopefully this will help.  :)

I haven't tried that beebs, but with my husband's appetite the tofu is a little more economical ;D

My suggestion is to teach him how to cook, start by going to the store and buying a bag of unseasoned non coated chicken wings, a pack of celery and a bottle of ranch dressing. Gather Tyler into the kitchen and turn the oven onto 450 degrees. Have Tyler spread the wings out on a cookie sheet, sprinkle his favorite seasonings on top and place in the oven for 45 minutes. While his wings are cooking have him set up a celery dipping plate with Ranch.

Next day, light the grill and have Tyler grill up some burgers and dogs....use romaine lettuce leaves for the wrappers

Day three, breakfast.... Time to learn how to cook a cheese omelette's Tyler  ::)

And so on and so forth  :)
