loose clothes
« on: February 11, 2011, 06:38:48 PM »
I would like to know how it is possible for my clothes to be getting loose but my inchs and weight are not changing ?
I am not doing any exercise to amount to anything either so I cant be gaining muscle ,
Unless  you gain muscle from just eating more protein .  I did not think clothes got loose without one of those things happening .

Ya Jo don't fight it...enjoy it! I think sometimes our bodies slow down and shrink up, then we start loosing again.

Soon we will all be so skinny people will tell us we look like we need to eat. LOL

Believe it or not, fat stores on our bodies almost EVERYWHERE... From our scalps to our feet.
Most of it stores somewhere around our middles and around our internal organs.

I don't know what mechanism the body uses to decide "which" fat to remove from "where" when it decides to do it.

But, I do remember reading somewhere that our bodies will TEMPORARILY replace our lost fat in the fat cells with water and other fluids (like a place holder).
If we do not eat too many carbs and replace the fat that was in our fat cells, that water will soon flush out of our systems and not be replaced.
What you do today is what matters!

Jo maybe you need a new scale.  Maybe it's just stuck on that number.  Try and weigh somewhere else.

Hello everyone!!
My clothes are loose too!! I'm so excited I can't wait until I can throw them away. I am now down to 295. I did do a daniel fast which ended yesterday and now am completely on this diet. The daniel fast is compeletely opposite of this diet, except you don't eat sugar.  I wanted to do the daniel fast to pray for different members of my family and also to help me with my committment to lose this weight.  I am very excited to be fully on this plan now.  I went to Fred Meyer and bought a few walden farms items and low carb tortillas, they don't have much else.  I am so excited to be under 300 and can't wait until there is a one for the first number in my weight.  I am determined that this is going to work.
Thanks for all your help and ideas.  God bless, Darla

It's the fast that Daniel, in the bible, went on. No meat, No dairy, No yeast.  So only unleavened bread, no sugar of any kind, including syrups and grains are o.k. (as long as there is no sugar) and fruits and veges. You can google it and there are many sites about it.  It's not good for a continuous diet, just a fast. I am so happy to finally be able to eat meat again.  So I'm glad to be fully on this plan now. ;D
