I have been following the FTS way since last Tuesday (almost a week) now.
In the first 4 days I lost a total of 5 lbs......now I know I had a couple of glasses of "hooch" as Doug calls it on the weekend (dinner party, few friends over), but stuck to my low carb way of eating.  I am a little constipated (sorry, too much info I know, but I have to tell you what I'm experiencing) and tonight I am back to only a loss of 1lb!!!!!  Admittedly, I weighed myself in the morning the other times, but tonight I weighed myself because I can't help myself......REALLY?  Come on now.....lol
Slow and steady wins the race, I know, I was just enjoying myself when it was coming off so fast early on!  I am so good at drinking water, maybe not so much over this weekend, but absolutely during the week.  Maybe its just my body sorting itself out.
My plan was to get on the treadmill (that has been gathering dust in the basement) and I've managed to get on there 3 times in the last week ....not sure if that makes any difference?
Just wondered what everyone's thoughts on this were....thanks.

Hi Owensmath,
I'm not frustrated, just wondering if the fluctuation is common.
I'm enjoying myself, and am happy with how I'm feeling even after just a week

LOL Jo,
I didn't take my measurements when I started.....so I'll do that tomorrow and check back next week with (hopefully) some good results.

My husband's weight seems to fluctuate more than mine does. He can eat more than he should for just one day and put on 2-5 pounds. It's really frustrating for him. I think it's probably different for everyone depending on what they're eating, how much water/waste they're retaining, etc...

I too, get on that stupid scale everyday, which can make or break your mood. Good luck!

Ausgirl it is always best to weigh yourself at the same time every time you weigh yourself.

Hi ausgirl,  :)

Be careful you do not become obsessed with what the scale says by weighing yourself too often.

I've noticed that sometimes the scale may not change (or maybe even go up a little), but inches will decrease.

When we lose weight, the scale will move down, and up, and sometimes not move at all.
During all this, our bodies are going through readjustments to the loss of fat.

The process of weight loss is very complex within our bodies.
The scale shows only a very small piece of the picture.

Like Doug says... Keep the faith, stay the course, and spread the word.
You will become a new you before you know it!  ;D ;D ;D

What you do today is what matters!
