If I Am ?

If I am frying Jicama and onions together like( fried potatoes& onions ) tonight they shrink up so much . But my question is would I count a cup as 5 carbs or more ?
 
A 1/2 cup of Jicama & onions before cooked is a big difference after they are cooked . I cant measure before cause I am cooking a big pan for hubby too ?

Oh, I never thought about this. I was reading Doug's book tonight because we also made fried jimaca and I think it said 2.5 carbs per 1/2 cup. They do shrink up. So, is that before or after cooking? Or does it just not matter? The onions will up your carbs though, since they're one of the highest veggies he has listed in there. Surprised me! I cooked mine just like suggested in the book and then doused them with onion salt after they were cooked.

Interesting question though!   ???

The count in the book is for raw ;)
