What does everyone have on there Thanksgiving menu this year??
« on: November 24, 2013, 02:52:09 PM »
Hey Forum family   :)   We have been busy planning a menu for this coming holiday and I was wondering what wonderful FTS friendly dishes everyone is planning so they aren't tempted by the sugar and carbs??

Our menu will be

FTS friendly items:
Turkey
Ham
cauli mash
gravy
green beans
sugar free relish tray
deviled eggs
sugar free cranberry jelly
upside down pumpkin pie
spiced bundt cake
Coffee and Tea

For our carb lovers:
fruit tray
corn
stuffing
mashed potatoes
rolls
cranberry sauce

Of course the trick will be to not over do it   ;D ;D ;D

Plenty of choices to stay on track  ;)

Wednesday-

Turkey
Cauli mash
Turkey gravy
Fresh green beans
Fresh cranberry relish (made w/ Zero Sweet)
Crustless pumpkin with lots of whipped cream
Herb tea

Thursday-

Wednesday leftovers at lunch
Then dinner will be at my younger brothers home with all our family. Will eat what is low carb and try not to go there too hungry

We don't celebrate Thanksgiving here in Australia (thankfully one less excuse to eat) - How do you all cope with Christmas  festivities just around the corner as well ?  If you have turkey at thanksgiving what do you make at Christmas?

Toosweet and Susie - looks like you both got it all sorted.  Nothing like being prepared.  ;)

These menus look great!!!

Mark what recipe did you decide on for your pumpkin soup??  I found one the other day that had chipotle in it...sounded wonderful.  I bet a little heat would be good.

Morgan with our family the turkey is the star of the table at Thanksgiving but with Christmas a nice ham makes it's grand entrance.  Usually we don't have both but when we do.... the star of the holiday meal will be the biggest.  Our Christmas meal isn't as set in stone as the thanksgiving meal  Haha   I remember one year we each had a cornish hen for Christmas dinner and yet another a big roast.
