ok, here is my review on some of the Walden Products
« on: April 16, 2011, 02:54:51 PM »
So this am, I bought a few WF products and here is my opinion about them

BBQ sauce: Good (even the hubster liked it)
Balsamic Vinegar dressing: Good
Chocolate spread: ok (I think warm would taste better)
Raspberrt spead: Loved it
Honey Dijon dressing: ummm, not sure yet if I like it or not
Peanut spread: OMG it was sooooo awful.. Beanit was heaven next to it...I was so grossed out...

and that my friends is what I thought of it.. I wish they had the pasta sauce to try it, but oh well..

Hi Alex, I agree with the first three, haven't tried the last 3 to know yet.  But fair warning - don't bother with the pasta sauce; it was one of the first things I tried and I thought it was absolutely horrible!  I tried doctoring it up with herbs and spices and that did not help AT ALL!  I wouldn't recommend it!

I am sad I was going to try the pasta sauce! :'(. Glad I didn't waste the money.  What is your favorite low carb pasta (red) sauce.

WF Alfredo Sauce isn't bad. I tried it last night for the first time. I put it on Miracle Noodles and added some chicken and broccoli. It was pretty good.

The Miracle Noodles, on the other hand, were kind of weird. They didn't taste bad, but had a weird, rubbery texture. I think next time I'll skip the noodles and just eat the chicken, broccoli, and Alfredo!  :D

Rena you could also julienne zucchini and cook it in a little olive oil and garlic, then put your alfredo over it. ;)

Yes, I've done that and liked it a lot. One thing I haven't made is lasagna using zucchini. I need to do that sometime. :)

I bought a julienne tool from Bed Bath and Beyond yesterday so zucchini "spaghetti" is on the menu next week.  Still working on low carb sauce.  Anyone have any low carb favorites/recipes?
