This was a pretty good week! I'm down 1.8 pounds and getting closer each week to the "70 pounds lost" mark, which is pretty exciting for me.
This week I tried an experiment - I had a meal of regular, carb-laden spaghetti. I wanted to see how it would affect my 5-mile run the next day. As far as I can tell, it had no effect. It still felt like 5 miles
There was a pit bull that added a little adrenaline at the end (you can read that story in my "35 week" thread from last week).
I'm glad to see that my carb meal didn't really affect my continued
weight loss either. Who knows, maybe it helped - some people talk about a "reset" day in which you eat whatever you want, and it shakes up your metabolism to keep it on track with losing weight. Tim Ferriss advocates this in his latest book, "The 4 Hour Body". I am not sure about how I feel about it. Just glad the number keeps going down.
