Hey guys,
Just checking in.  I've been gone for a while...So busy with the kids.  I don't have much time on the computer.  Mostly at work, but that's been crazy too.   My daughter and I have been travelling around looking at colleges.  How overwhelming for the both of us...but so much fun!

Haven't lost any, but haven't gained any either.  Running my 2 miles 4 times per week and the scale is staying the same.

I did recruit my brother-in-law to FTS though.  I hadn't seen him since Christmas and the "SHUT UP" (channelling Elaine from Sienfeld) after seeing my weight loss was a real ego boost for me   ;D   I'm excited he decided to get on board.  We are vacationing together this summer....I'm excited to see his progress.

I need to go through all the posts.  I hope everyone is well and doing great. 

Summer is almost here....it is acutally warm in New England!

Hi Theresa, you should read the posts on plateaus and lets see if we can get the scale moving down again. Portion control, Sugar alcohols and other small changes will make a big difference. Running the way you do the scale should be dropping. My guess......portion control. Try the half plate experiment using the 15 minute rule and see how you feel.  ;)

I'm glad you're doing well. Good luck with the colleges. We're taking our daughter out to Billings in August so she can start there. She's really excited.

I agree...it is probably portion control.  I have been losing and gaining the same 5 lbs all month. 

I won't give up on the exercise though.  Even though you say it can be done without it...I am proof that my body will not lose without exercise.  (those stubburn fat cells have gotten a little too comfortable over the years...they just ain't budging)  ;)  I have lost a lot of weight in my face,  neck, arms etc. Its the mid-section I would like to see go away FAST ::)

I am definitely losing inches...the scale is just stuck.

My daughter laughed at my very serious commentI made the other day when I said "I think my scale is broken....it doesn't move anymore."

Don't worry about the dumb scale!

If you're losing inches, you're losing FAT!
And after all, isn't that what we're all here to do? ;)

Exactly, ignore that scale and just keep doing what you're doing. You know maybe we should all just throw our scales away???
