I cheated---and paid!

 ::) Blah.  We went to an amusement park for the day on Friday.  I followed the diet ALL day, ate few carbs b/c I KNEW i was going to cheat with blueberry icecream (softserve artificially flavored and better than anything you've ever eaten LOL)  I skipped the popcorn and funnel cakes and cotton candy and all that good stuff and had burgers FTS style, 2 carb protein bars etc...  ANYHOO, so, I went back UP to what I was on Thursday morning on Saturday, so, I'm still in the same exact spot hoping to lose back down by tomorrow I HOPE.  We walked like 9 hours and I pushed a stroller most of the day, you'd THINK I'd lost weight lol...no such luck. Tech. I gained 6 oz.

Today is a new day tommorrow is gone . After you have been on FTS awhile that stuff will not even taste good too you anymore  ;D My taste have really changed in the last 9-10 months .

Cute profile picture eliruthy  8)  Go easy on the protein bars the sugar alcohols may stall your weight loss. Make some beef jerky and chew on it instead, very filling and pure protein. Careful of the store brands which can contain lots of sugar in the flavoring.

I just ran across another of your posts and I see I had given you this same advice before. Sorry to double up  ::)

Another great way to fill up quickly and squash the appetite are the GG Brancrisp Breads and some cheese. One cracker with a nice slice of Jarlsberg cheese on top will carry you for 3-4 hours  ;)  You can carry them in your purse, they blow up in your tummy when you eat one. They are very cardboard like eaten alone so its best to top them with something. You can always carry a little Tupperware with Beanit Butter in your purse as well. That's 100% soy so its a great shot of protein

Thank you everyone!  Thank you Doug  :)  I have the GG's, it never occurred to me to pack THOSE, so I've packed nasty 2 carb protein bars (Balance brand) or almonds.  I think the sugar alcohols are getting me for sure.  I've looked back on my eating, and when I started adding more of those, I have lost less and less quickly. (Oh and the blueberry icecream may have contributed, but, that wasn't optional LOL)  The jerky looks super yum but  I don't know if I'm talented enough to make it lol.  I've looked for the Wisconsin brand jerky EVERYWHERE and all i find are the sticks...ick...  Tomorrow will be better b/c I'm eliminating a bunch of things today! 8)

Hi eliruthy! :)

Weight gain has nothing to do with luck.

Nine hours of pushing a stroller around an amusement park "should" burn about 1900 calories (a bit over 1/2 pound of fat at 3500 calories per fat pound).
Your experience proves that exercise and calories are not as critical to shedding fat as limiting carbs, watching portions, and being careful with sugar alcohols.

Just learn from your experience and be prepared the next time you're faced with a similar situation.

In all honesty, I think it takes a lot more than that to put on a pound, or even half a pound of body weight. It's probably just bulk and still in your system. You'll lose it in no time.

I hope I do!!!  BIG NEWS!  I fit into my size 10's again!!!!!!  I was a 10 before i got pregnant with my son, who's 2 now ::)  So, I must be losing some inches!!!!!  I'm back on my treadmill tomorrow and going to increase my water and continue to cut the fake sugars...I was good today, I only had a carbmaster yogurt and a teeny tiny bit of sugar free jello!

Yuppers!  I went down 6 oz today and did the treadmill/bowflex to try to accelerate things...we'll see tomorrow! Oh and cut down my fake sugars .
