So true!  When Joe first saw all G F foods he would ask me if we could get this or that.  Then I read the labels... Oh my the carbs are off the charts!

Making it yourself from fresh ingredients is the ticket.

Totally agree! Even my extended family does stuff like that. No matter how many times I tell them they just don't seem to get it.

So true Mary! The only way to know what is in your food is to make it from scratch.Labels lie sometimes. The cost is alot lower making it yourself.Processed food has led to huge obesity problem in this country.I say take it one step further and teach your kids to cook so they understand exactly what they are putting in their mouths.Dougs sugar video has shock value for teaching  kids.I think everyone should watch it. ;)

Don't ya love the way Michelle Obama went on the band wagon with children and obesity and then dropped it?? She didn't last for to long on that band wagon! Everybody is wanting an easy quick fix! It's a lifetime job. Not really a job, it's so freakin easy, just people aren't willing to give up the stuff they love, when Umpa makes it so easy to convert their favorite foods! Why wouldn't they want to change is what gets me sooo mad!

I was really hoping she would stick with it! Doug  donates books to the libraries for the kids but she has the attention of the country and she dropped it at the gate!Guess it interfered with her vacations :D

Hi Stephanie! :)

Evidently with her husband's drop in the polls, she has focused on other priorities, like his reelection.

She lasted long enough to change the misleading "food pyramid" into an equally misleading "food circle".
One is no better than the other... They are both WRONG!!!

The moral... If you seek being misled and disappointed, count on government and it's politicians!
Things like good health, MUST start at home.
What you do today is what matters!

@Mouseissue, I was "just hopeing" with all her "power" and media oppertunities, she would at least try to make a difference! Since she is in the eye of the world!

Me too Stef :) The children that are Type 1 diabetics break my heart.Type 2s just need education. For very little money this issue could have been addressed and remedied.i agree with you 1000% Tony ;)
