Homemade Sugar Free Thousand Island

I just wanted to share..... found this recipe for thousand island dressing a while back but I haven't had a chance to try it yet.....  http://lowcarbdiets.about.com/od/lowcarbsalads/r/Sugar-Free-Thousand-Island-Dressing.htm  I thought it looked pretty good

Yield: 1 cup of dressing

Ingredients:
•¼ cup mayonnaise
•¼ cup sour cream
•¼ cup sugar-free ketchup
•3 tablespoons sugar-free relish, such as Mt. Olive Brand
•1 tablespoon prepared mustard

Preparation:

Mix ingredients together and adjust to taste. Depending on the exact ingredients, you might want to add a little more ketchup or even some sweetener.
 
Nutritional Information: One tablespoon has half a gram of carbohydrate and 35 calories.

Update:  I made it earlier this afternoon.  I didn't think I liked it at first but after letting it sit in the fridge all day it is tasting pretty good.  I think this may be a keeper  ;)

I love Rueben sandwiches but hesitate because of the high carbs in Thousand Island dressings (other than Walden Farms) and haven't had a chance to try WF.  Will make this soon  ;)

I like thousand island on hamburgers like the big macs .Yummers ;)

update from my update...LOL

I had this on my salad last night....yummers!!!  

When I first mixed it, it really wasn't what I thought.  It was ok but I was disappointed it didn't taste closer to what I wanted.  I could taste the mustard and different flavors.  The trick to this is definitely mix the day before you want to use it.  The flavors will blend in that time....very close to the real thing  ;)

Tried it and it was great. I love thousand island but with all those carbs  could not have it now I can. THANK YOU!!!!
