I need a new vitamin ...
« on: December 10, 2011, 01:45:56 AM »
I've been taking Centrum Women's multivitamins, but all of a sudden I can't take them without feeling really nauseous. That used to happen only if I took them on an empty stomach. Now it happens even when I've eaten. I tried taking them at night, but I wake up feeling that way.

What multivitamins is everyone else taking?

I might have to go back to the jelly ones because they don't seem to upset my stomach. Only thing is, I can't find sugar-free ones locally. I'd have to order online, which is a pain. The regular ones are about 4 carbs. :(

No on being pregnant. And I'm not sure why I feel this way. I was okay with them before. They say to take them with food or milk, but even when I do, I still feel sick. I can take all my other vitamins (including Super B Complex) just fine. It only seems to be the multivitamin. Makes no sense, huh?

I used to take Herbalife vitamins with their Cell Activator and those never bothered me. I don't know any distributors and am not sure if I can afford to get into them again. I seem okay with the gummies, so maybe I can find a sugar-free one somewhere. Or maybe a chewable. It's frustrating.

It might be something in the carriers - that is, the stuff that binds the vitamins together. New bottle by chance?

Not sure, but I haven't changed bottles in a long time because I bought a mega-sized one. I've taken well over 3/4 of the bottle and it's just now really starting to bother me.

I did find some children's chewables at the store today. They say <1 carb because they're made with sorbitol. I didn't buy them yet, but I plan to next time I'm there. I figured anything is worth a try and better than nothing. Maybe my kids will like them too.

There's also a deal where the body can absorb so much of a chemical and then it can tolerate no more. Maybe something like that is going on. My husband used to work with field chemicals. One day he suddenly became violently ill. It was determined that he'd been around one of the chemicals too much and reached his body's limit. Ever after that, if he got near that chemical, he'd get sick as a dog. :o

Maybe that's why I did so well with the Herbalife vitamins. I took them with another tablet called Cell Activator, which was supposed to help the villi absorb the vitamins better. I'm not sure why I was taking my Centrum ones just fine one day and then suddenly they started messing with me.

Yeah, they're fine. Maybe I'll give another brand a try. I hate not taking one.
