Just finishing first week
« on: January 08, 2012, 11:50:18 AM »
I bought the new expanded version of the book. I just finished my first week and lost a little over 5 lbs. :)  I have about 45 lbs to lose. Besides my health, my motivation is related to my job which has a weight requirement. I am new to the forum and look foward to reading other successes and challenges as well as enjoying some new recipies.

Thanks for the welcome! I'm in the military. I'm near retirement but have a few more years. I'm at that age where my weight management is getting challenging even with activity. This low carb plan really seems to be helpful.

Glad you're here, Jenni! How did you find Doug's book - was it from his recent appearance on The Buzz?

Actually I saw it in B&N browsing the Diet section. The color really grabbed my attention. When thumbing through it I liked the simple straight to the point manner in which it was written. I also saw the CD in the back which is a bonus for me since I commute a lot.

I too echo... Thank you for your service, Jenni! :)
My daughter, Jenny, left the Navy in 2009 after serving for 9 years (1 of them in Iraq).

You have found the right place to help you get where you want to go.

I've tried so many "diet plans", I can't remember them all.
But this lifestyle is the first where I've been losing weight and NOT gaining it back!

I've been living the FTS lifestyle since August 2010. And have NEVER felt better!
I know I will be able to live this way the rest of my life!

Congrats on the 5 pound loss!

I'm looking forward to hearing about your FTS journey!

Tony
