LAdyluck When my son got diagnosed with type 1 diabetes almost 7 years ago is when I had to learn to read labels . It was just unbelievable to me . But I was just having to do it to count the carbs even the doctors didnt say he should not eat carbs she said you just have to know how many you are eating so you can know how much insulin to take . (more carbs you eat more insulin you need more money they make ) very sad
I found a diabetes site & they were eating low carb & using less insulin so I started researching low carb and
BAMB found Doug on you tube been here ever since !!! Tyler has uses half the amount of insulin he was using a year ago !!! And his Blood Sugar is in control . Although he will always have to take insulin because he is Type 1 his A1C is like 6.1 which is very rare for a type 1 teen .
Type 2 diabetics can be off thier meds forever if they stick with FTS and reading labels !!!!!!!
