Sweet potatoes have 10 grams of carbohydrates for every 1/4 cup.
Carbs turn into sugar in our bodies...
10 grams = 2 1/2 tsp. of sugar

Every 4 grams of carbs is equal to 1 tsp. of sugar

you bet, 7 teaspoons of sugar for an average sized sweet potato!
