Thank you all for your support.  My friends are friends but they are who they are and you can't change them.  My original friend from my first rant (even though I think she still feels this may be a phase) actually goes out of her way now when we go out to ensure that I will be able to get something to eat.  I don't make a big deal out of things (never had) and usually have 'nibbles' in a small container in my bag if needed.  Funny thing being actually - yesterday she was standing in my kitchen saying she has stacked on too much weight and will be cutting out cakes and lollies (I didn't point out that they were the 'sugars' I was doing away with - though it was implied).  haha before you know it she may end up being a fts person as well.

The last few pounds are taking a long time to come off.  I think it is because I am at a good weight for me and my body just doesn't want to give up the last few.

Welcome to the FTS family, Sumeet!!! :) :) :) :) :) :)

You will find some of the most supportive people on Earth on this forum.
We're all here for you!

Andrea's right about the last pounds taking the longest to come off.
There's been research that indicates our bodies create "set points".
Set points are weights that we have held for periods of time in the past.

Our bodies seem to "remember" these weights, and will hold them for longer periods while we lose.
The amounts of weight closest to our goals, we've held on to for the longest period of time.

There are many other factors that will effect the rate we lose that we have little to no control over.

So, the best advice is to relax and enjoy the FTS lifestyle without setting "schedules".
By using schedules, we can set ourselves up for disappointment.
And who's goal is it to be disappointed? :-\

Please join in with our conversations often.
You'll be amazed at what you will learn! ;)

i think your ideal weight is one that is reasonable that you can maintain. According to the charts i should weigh 115.I haven't weighed that since I was 12. i am very muscular from running and exercise and have a 42 inch chest.i would have to starve myself. :D Which makes me crazy! At 150 it puts me in a size 8-10 (medium) .I can maintain that and eat with little effort.I am also 47 and in full menopause which makes you gain weight for no reason so I am happy. You just have to find your happy place ;)
