Is Bran allowed.
« on: July 20, 2012, 11:46:16 AM »
Hello Upma,

I have asked this question in general forum also. I read that gg bran bread is 80% bran. So I wanted to know that for making Indian bread can I use bran also. Besides flax seeds and soya flower and powder.
Doug has given a recipe which I think will be very useful.
Thanks for all the help.

I just bought oat fiber  and a low carb  bran to try to make a really dark bread I love. Its a cross between rye and pumpernickel. I am also doing a recipe for bran muffins. Will post as soon as I do them. Bran is really stong so a little goes a long way.The oat fiber lightens things up.It also makes it possible to roll things out thin without adding a ton of carbs.Always check carb counts . :)
