Maintaining....Men Versus Women
« on: August 28, 2012, 11:55:04 AM »
I was wondering if any Men out there are having trouble maintaining? I don't mean keep it off, I mean keeping it on. My Husband is maintaining now and has upped is carb intake just to stay at the level he's at. With me it takes very little extra carbs to maintain, if I ate the level of carbs he is eating daily I would easily gain it all back. My Son has just started maintaining this week so we are still learning about how many carbs he needs. I just wondered...Men do you find you need more carbs than the women in your life to keep from losing?

I had this issue with Doug.He got too thin,I could barely find clothes to fit him.We had to up his carbs. With me I still stay under 20 a day but with menopause I gain so I have to be careful.I refuse to take hormones even though the doctor tells me it will help with the weight gain.I just practice self control. If I start to gain I up the workouts and lower the carbs ;)

I'm glad you had the same things happening. I don't have a problem with what I eat, I just was a little worried about the amount of carbs he was eating to maintain. Well maybe not worried but jealous. Of course if I ate that amount of carbs I would be going through withdrawls everyday and I hate that feeling. What is really cool is now everyone in my family knows the secret to being thin. My son won't have to suffer like I did and be heavy. I think that is one of the greatest gifts I could give him. :)

You will Jo and just being healthier is the main key. Just cutting out all the processed junk, the flour and sugars is making us all winners. :)

It always shocks me when we get emails or posts on facebook from people that bought the book and have lost, 50,100, or 150 pounds! Never came on the forum just wanted to say thank you.Thats why its so important to pay it forward to get the word out so everyone will have the "secret" :)
