Umpa - what exactly is crisco?  Is it like a solid vegetable oil?  I wanted to make the low-carb cinnamon buns for breakfast for a change.  Can it be substituted for something else?  ta

Yes it is Morgan  :)  It is just a solid fat whipped for easy use in recipes.  You can sub in lard or butter in most recipes.  Sometimes even liquid oil depending on what you are making.   ;)

If you use salted butter, cut back on the other salt in the recipe.  Crisco isn't salted.
