20 net carbs
« on: October 25, 2012, 02:08:18 PM »
Hello All
Back again. Just wondering where the 20 net carbs comes from. Why 20 as opposed to 25 or 30. I am not sure if there is an explanation for this in the book, I've read it twice but most recent prob 6 months ago so I don't remember. Just curious.

Hi ES15! :)

Doug could best answer the origin of the "daily 20 carb limit".
However, knowing that no two of us are alike, our individual limit may be different.

But the science is still the same... Fewer carbs, faster weight loss (assuming we don't overeat)!

You will find YOUR optimal number by recording what you eat and watching your progress.

Thanks Tony! That makes sense and is kind of what I figured but I would still love to hear Doug why you chose 20 as a general target.
