Eggs

Was driving home this morning from nightshift and just musing on various things - one of them being eggs.  Does medical opinion still have a recommended amount per week?  It just seems when on the fts lifestyle, I seem to go through quite a number of them.  Definitely more than the 'no more than 3 per week' it used to be many years ago.

Anyone got an update?  ta

Hi Morgan! :)

We eat about 2 dozen a week between the two of us (me more than my wife).
And it seems to have not hurt my health one little bit! ;)

The "medical community" by and large, thinks that it's fat that causes weight gain and not carbs.
So, I'm reluctant to give their opinion on eggs much weight.

That is me too....I tend to take claims now with a grain of salt.  I go through a ton of eggs in my house as well.  Actually it is my main meal when the hubs is working nights.  I never see a need to cook a fancy meal when it is just me, not to mention it is always so quick and easy.  I might cut back on the yolks if my cholesterol numbers start to rise, but for now I don't seem to have the need for that.  The egg is really the perfect food  :)

I don't remember the specifics, but the medical community did back down from the "3 per week" recommendation.
